ABOUT VINYL
Vinyl was created around a simple idea:
“Working out should be something you actually look forward to.”
We wanted to build a Pilates studio that felt less like a fitness studio and more like your favorite neighborhood spot — warm, welcoming, a little unexpected, and somewhere you genuinely want to spend time.
Our spaces are inspired by the places we love to hang out: great record bars, cozy listening rooms, neighborhood cafés, and beautifully designed spaces that never take themselves too seriously. The lights are low, the music is good, and every detail — from the records on the wall to the way the room feels when you walk in — is intentional.
The workout is serious.
The atmosphere isn't.
Our reformer classes are designed to make you stronger, challenge you, and leave you feeling better than when you walked in, whether Pilates has been part of your life for years or it's your very first class. No intimidating energy. No pressure to fit a certain mold. Just really good movement, really good music, and people you want to be around.
A workout that feels like a hangout.
HOW WE GOT HERE
Vinyl started with our founder, Laura, falling in love with Pilates while living in Los Angeles. What began as teacher training quickly turned into teaching classes — and a dream of one day creating a studio of her own.
That dream stayed with her, but it wasn’t until having her first baby that she felt the push to actually go for it. Becoming a mom gave her a new perspective on how she wanted to spend her time, the kind of life she wanted to build, and the example she wanted to set — and made following a long-held dream feel more important than ever.
Vinyl grew from that leap, bringing together Laura’s love of Pilates, music, design, and community into a studio that feels entirely its own.
